05 January 2012: Government of Nepal, Ministry of
Information and Communications appointed Mr.
Bikash Acharya & Mr. Ram Kumar
Mandal (RAMA) as a Board Members of Film Development
Board, appointed on January 02, 2012. Ministry and FDB
thanks former members Mr. Bijay Basnet, Mr. Udaya Subba
and Ms. Maushami Malla for their valuable contribution
during their period as a Board Member in Film Development
Board.
New Members were welcomed in the presence of staffs
of FDB and media persons on January 5, 2012.

Film
Development Board Celebrates 10th Anniversary |
30 June 2010: Founded in 30 June 2000,
Film Development Board celebrated the 10th Anniversary
of its establishment day on Asadh 16, 2067 (June 30, 2010).
More than 200 participants attended the anniversary. The
program was inaugurated by Minister of Information and
Communications (MoIC), Shanker Pokharel.
During the program, Chief Guest Shanker Pokharel released
two books published by Film Development Board, Nepal :
i) Filming in Nepal- A Guide Book (2010),
written & edited by Chiranjibi Guragain and
ii) Chalchitra Munch during the program.

Amendment on Motion Picture Rules, 2057: |
January 11, 2010:
Government of Nepal has amended the Film Rules
on January 11, 2010 as per the recommendation of Film
Development Board. The Nepal Gazette has been released
on January 11, 2010.
